Match fixing is well and alive in CL

Not so long ago, Victoria "lost" to the Sri Lankan team, despite chasing 113.

Today, Cobras lost to Delhi Daredevils minus Sehwag----so that they don't have to play in the Semi Finals at the mine field in New Delhi.

What are BCCI and Lalit Modi doing when this is happening under their very noses?

I would not blame Dravid singularly for the defeat against Pakistan. I agree Dravid's batting did not help. Dhoni's puzzling decisions contributed.

It is puzzling to me a player of such class and technique is not able to negotiate singles and rotate the strike (Many lesser batsmen were able to do; Michael Bevan, ...).

Batting seems to have options - seniors + new talent. Bowling talent bench is barren. Sreesanth who was promising a while back has faded with his antics. The selected bowlers have not performed.

The Board is not helping things either. They have sacked Prasad and Robin. Dav Whatmore has also been sacked from the NCA, because the Board refused him 2 months leave to work with the KKR team in IPL3. His place has been taken by Sandeep Patil now!

I hate to say this but the Dravid decision smacks of a wrong that had to be righted. However, two wrongs do not make a right and in my view, this is one wrong decision too many for this selection committee. Kris Srikanth has to go too.

But alas! Management in the BCCI is hardly held accountable.

So, a revolving door policy continues to persist. Abhishek Nayar, Munaf Patel, Virat Kohli, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, R. P. Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Praveen Kumar and Amit Mishra find themselves in this revolving door!

People will point to the runs he made. But, in my view, Dravid was responsible for India's loss against Pakistan. He ate up too many dot balls, got Gambhir run out and then developed a rabbit-caught-in-the-headlights approach.

I think that, after a great 2008 and early-2009, Team India is at a strange cross-roads now. People will point to injuries. However, I think it is the selection committee that lacks a blueprint for what will take India to the top!

There is a lot of gas and no substance in the selection decisions and they seem to be approaching their task with their backsides permanently on fire -- much like the batting of the chairman, if you ask me!

Venkatesh Prasad and Robin Singh are to be replaced by Alan Donald and Jonty Rhodes respectively--after all, the head Coach Kirsten is a South African and wants to help his mates!

Balaji for Ishant ?
At this rate, the entire tamil Nadu team will be playing replacing team India!!!!

i agree with most of your point... but LAXMAN instead of DRAVID... i m sorry... no way... Dravid is a far better ODI player than Laxman...

@Virat Kholi's inclusion: its a big big big surprise... he didnt fail once... but everytime the opportunity was given... i really respect what Dhoni said about giving chances to youngsters and which may lead to losing matches... true... but then how many times the same person will be given opportunity... when so many talents are waiting in wings...

@ ISHANT SHARMA's inclusion: Very bad decision... he is a fantastic bowler no doubt... but then he need to be rested a little bit.. for him to regain the confidence... plus... we are using him too much... that ll be a big risk in future... i would ve preferred Balaji in the place of Ishanth... but unfortunately i m not a selector.. lets see whether the selectors are right in selecting Ishant or me ;)

Good article i liked it..!!!
