As Yardley said.. it was a great privilege to watch it ( honestly, I would love to watch it a few more times.). The elegance, the timing, the placement and his undying urge to retain the strike. The square drive between two fielders hardly 20 yards apart was the masterpiece.
I personally thought he did a great service to Viru as well. Watching a fluent game unfold from the other end can only .. just only.. motivate the partner. With pressure off to step on the pedal, an open text book at the other end showing the way to play, Viru did a good job of playing himself in to form. The road to redemption is not far away, I believe, and what a great asset he can be to India touring OZ.
Dhoni, Yuvi pair repeatedely exhibiting high degree of maturity in finishing the game. They seem to have the knack to read each other’s mind.
All in all, a great night of cricket. CHAK DE INDIA.

1. Dhoni’s handling of the part time bowlers was imaginative and rewarding
2. Bowling at the ‘death’ by the quicks.
3. Viru’s batting – very controlled and calm!

However, some of the running between the wickets could easily have landed them in a spot of bother if they were playing Oz or SA.

Dhoni’s captaincy continues to go up on my scale :)
