Dropping Chopra was Delhi-bias? Dropping Dravid was male-bias? Dropping Balaji was right-hander-bias? Dropping Agarkar can be seen as anti-big-ears-bias. Picking Karthik in the first place was pro-TN bias? We can pidgeon-hole anything as anything to suit our own special inadequacies, crucial deficiencies and selfish needs.

He did have a good series in the Challenger trophy and his 56 in difficult conditions against Maharashtra was highly appreciated.

Especially with the bungling selectors, I would not be surprised if Dinesh Karthik is dropped from the test side, and that too after his successful tour of England as an opening batsman.
