India has always produced good batsman but have failed to produce good bowlers and fielders. In India batting is considered to be glamorous than fielding and bowling. Reason for this is because of lack of fitness among we Indians. All these players Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar,Sachin Tendulkar they all are great players and they have conditioned there body to keep themseleves fit but what about the others, right from the begininng 1950's India havent produced fast bowlers or good fielders. The trend is the same now as well. Consistency is the main weapon in sports and a player should keep trying to improve. Individula milestones should be set by players.

But the problem in India is that once a player establishes himself in the National squad he takes things for granted. Every time when a player goes out to play he should be passionate to win for India. It has been seen that India has loads of potential but the lack of intensity takes us down. In the recent concluded Test Series in England when Zaheer,Sreesanth and RP were agressive India looked a different team and in the Rose Bowl(Sothampton) in the 1st ODI they were looking like minnows.

Whether its Test Cricket, 20-20 or 50 over limited game if commitment is missing from Indian team they will always fail.

More importantly BCCI should not only consider quantity of games they should consider quality as well.

I will be happy if India plays 30 ODI's and the % of success is more rather than playing 50 and on the loosing side.

More importantly youngsters should be given more chances. We need good fast agressive bowlers and good young fielders. There are plenty of batsman around but in shorter version of games we require not only batsman but bowlers and fielders as well .

After all Cricket is a team game not an individual player sport.

I hope in the coming years the pattern will change and I hope India perform better in the future.

Chak De India!

T20 is a batsman's game and not a bowler's game.

Some bowlers are good in bowling the death overs in one-day matches, I am sure some bowler shall figure out how to bowl in T20 game.

Good length ball - hit thru the line for a sixer.
Short of good length or bouncer - pull the ball
Yorker length is the only dot ball ?

Anything less than 200 in 20 overs is not a good total looks like.

T20 is really a much bigger lottery and everyone has a chance. So do not dismiss India so easily. As for Pathan and his rediscovery, bowlers in general are going to get such a mauling that there is no chance of finding out if they have done well or not. I think a young India with no pressure on their backs, will do well.
