Regarding the selection of Pathan his statement was ” I spoke to Chandrakant Pandit. Chandrakant said Irfan is bowling well. He can bat, bowl, field well”. Then Pathan should also be in the one-day team.

As a selector you should watch the player bowl or bat in domestic competition or against a good team – not Zimbabwe.

There are poor guys on the fringe who always miss out, and get discouraged, just because of these clowns.

After playing 4 ODI in Ireland, 3 tests in England followed by a 7 ODI series will exhaust him completely. He’d need time to recover for 12 ODIs and 3 tests at home+ 4 tests and the CB series which has some 10 ODIs I suppose!!

And Manoj Tiwari has not recovered completely, nor has Raina.
